TOOX is a German independent music producer, remixer and DJ.

In 1974 Torsten aka TOOX was born as the second child from a normal working class family. Since his childhood he became interested in synthpop music, which was only produced on synthesizers. He developed a passion for the music of Kraftwerk, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, OMD and many more. In the 80’s Techno became popular in Germany and TOOX found a new interest in this particular genre.

Since he was 16 he worked as a DJ doing scoolparties and he then progresed into nightclubs. He also enjoyed many music filled nights within well known German night clubs like 8.Mai Chemnitz, Tresor Berlin, Distillery Leipzig and Triebwerk Dresden…. TOOX is inspired by many DJ’s and Producers from the 90s like DJ Rush, Adam Beyer, Pascal F.E.O.S, Cristian Vogel and others.

At 18 he bought his first Synthesizer and it was connected to an ATARI computer. He eagerly began making Techno beats. He also worked closely with a friend on many underground Techno tracks and enjoyed improving his producing skills. These tracks were also being played in underground clubs on a regular basis.

In 2000 he withdrew from the scene due to personal reasons but after some inspiration from Markus Schulz, Armin Van Buuren, Paul van Dyk and ATB he has returned in force. He unpacked his synthesizer and mixers and began with a new music career. Now TOOX produces upbeat and uplifting Trancebeats with induced pressures of Techno, ACID, Schranz, Minimal and other splashes of genre. In the same year, when he returned to music, he won a contest held by a Record label, Electrified Mindz, and secured a record contract. In 2013 he published 3 successful singles and one EP though this label.

In April 2013 he reached the top 10 from the Reverbnation charts in Electronica in Germany. In his region he is number 1 on the Reverbnation charts.
